Materials research at Queen Mary constitutes one of the largest and most diverse centres for the discipline in the UK.

Our objective is to foster a stronger community for materials research, improve our external profile, protect and enhance collaboration across Departmental boundaries, attract more high quality research students to the college, to maximise grant income and claim a role in guiding the future of the subject in all relevant fora.
